The Basics of Fungi
Another one of the four Kingdoms in Domain Eukarya is Kingdom Fungi. This Kingdom includes mushrooms and yeast. Just like Kingdom Plantae, it is a eukaryotic cell, with a cell wall. Although its cell wall is made up of glucosamine polymer chitin. Organisms under Kingdom Fungi are found to be both multicellular and unicellular. They also are heterotrophic, because they digest food out of the fungus. Scientists estimate that Fungi first evolved about 1.3 billion years ago, which is even older than Kingdom Plantae.

Psilocybe cubensis is a species of psychedelic mushroom, that is mildly potent. This type of mushroom has a grilled underside, which increases surface area, which makes it possible to reproduce millions of basidiospores. The gills themselves have an adaptation. They rotate themselves to line up with gravity. This way is if the mushroom were to lean over, it would still release the same amount of basidiospores.
